Heery International Honored in Baltimore
Heery International has received the Mayor’s Business Recognition Award from Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake for its assistance to the Susanna Wesley House, a local transitional housing facility for women.
As part of their participation in Heery from the Heart community service month, more than 20 Heery volunteers assisted in the planning and undertaking of two projects: removing old window treatments and installing 64 new window blinds throughout the residences and common areas, and revitalizing the green space and play area outside. These projects benefited nine resident families with children.
The purpose of the Mayor’s Business Recognition Award is to acknowledge businesses that have demonstrated significant corporate leadership and services to improve the quality of life in Baltimore. The awards are given for specific projects that occur outside the regular day-to-day activities of the business.
